Thomas Crawford Latto

Tom passed away suddenly, at his home in Rockwood, on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the age of 69.
Beloved father of Megan (Robert) and Sarah (Darcy). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Harrison, Jonny, Wyatt, Carter and Leah, and treasured the time he spent watching his grandchildren grow. Tom will also remembered by the mother of his children, Dianne.
Tom had many passions throughout his life. He was always enthusiastic about big trucks and fast cars, and he loved sharing stories from his time working in the film industry, where he often reminisced about the stars he met and chauffeured over the years. He enjoyed a good film, and in quieter moments could often be found painting or sketching pictures for his grandchildren.
Tom had a cheeky sense of humour—you had to listen closely for it—but it always kept those around him on their toes and brought many chuckles. He cherished simple pleasures: evenings spent playing dice with his sister, relaxing while listening to the rain, or enjoying a nap in the sunshine.
A true animal lover, Tom adored his pets, especially his dogs. In recent times he was happiest relaxing on the couch with Lena, Megan’s dog, keeping him company.
At his core, Tom was a minimalist who believed that contentment did not come from material things, but from the memories we make and the people we love. He valued his privacy and the quiet moments of life, and he will be remembered for his stories, his humour, and the love he had for his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at The Franklin House, 263 Queen Street, Mississauga. Family and friends are welcome to gather to share memories and celebrate Tom’s life.
