May 2, 1952 – December 22, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deborah Bailey at the age of 72. Deborah was born in Cornwall, Ontario on May 2, 1952, and passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024 with her family at her side.

Deborah was predeceased by her beloved grandson Tanner in 2023. She leaves behind her devoted partner and best friend, Peter Smith of Guelph, Ontario. Together, they shared a deep love that was felt by all who knew them.

Deborah was a loving mother to her sons, Jason Bailey (Chrissy Bailey) and Joseph Chartrand (Stephanie), and her daughter, Monique Chartrand. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Joshua, Daveth, Marissa, Raven and Theo.

Deborah had a smile that could light up any room and a sparkle in her eyes that never dimmed. Despite enduring many health challenges in her later years, she faced them all with incredible strength and grace. She will forever be remembered for her loving spirit and infectious laughter.

Deborah also leaves behind family from Peter’s side, including Dawn, Stephen, Jason, Sarah-Ashley, Matthew, Harmony, Vanessa, Brooke, and Mike, with whom she shared many cherished moments.

Deborah had a special love for glitter and bling, and her vibrant personality was reflected in everything she did. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of Deborah’s life will be held in the future.
