It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cameron “Cam” Toole on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Stratford General Hospital, at the age of 83.

Cam was predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara Ann Toole (née Wretham), as well as his parents, Murray and Marguerite Toole, his sister Gloria Matthews, and his brother Murray Allan Jr.

He will be forever loved and missed by his children: Matthew Toole (Elissa), Allan Toole (Tammy), and Melissa Toole. Cherished Grandpa of Cory Allan Toole, Jennifer Little, and David Toole (Alice), and proud Great-Grandpa of Avery Little, Bryson Chisamore, Nash Toole, and Brody Toole. Cam is also survived by his brothers Keith Toole and Gary Toole (Faye), along with many nieces and nephews in the Toole and Wretham families.

Cam was a devoted family man—strong-willed, hardworking, and deeply caring. He had a remarkable way of always putting others first, never hesitating to show up when someone needed him, even at his own expense. He worked in sales for most of his life, traveling across North America with his wife and three children, creating a lifetime of memories along the way. His dedication carried through to his final years, working right up until the age of 82.

In his younger days, Cam had a passion for flying and proudly earned his pilot’s license. He was also an avid sports fan who loved cheering on the Blue Jays and remained a loyal supporter of the Maple Leafs.

Above all, Cam will be remembered as a simple, honest, and kind-hearted man with a deep love for people. His legacy of generosity, strength, and compassion will live on in all who knew him.

He was a great man, a devoted father, and the very best grandfather anyone could ever ask for. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered always.
