It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dave, peacefully in his home on August 4, 2026, at age 71. He was taken from his loved ones and friends far too soon.
Dave was the owner of V-Twin Motors and was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast for his entire life.
Devoted and loving husband of Heather for 49 years. Predeceased by his parents, Donald and Margaret. Cherished brother to Bonnie Babin (Deb), Ron and Daniel (Cindi-Lynn). Brother-in-law to Carol (Leo), Marilyn, Steve, Cala (Scott) and Bev (Bill). Uncle to a niece and many nephews.
He will be missed by many close friends, who will forever cherish their memories.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 1pm to 4pm at The Red Chevron Club, 34 Elizabeth St., Guelph.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to The Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
Dave was a one of a kind ! A very special person , an incredible mechanic with a big heart. He is sorely missed !
I will always be indebted to him !

Dave was my go-to Harley guru—the person I could always turn to for knowledge, help, and advice. He was generous with his time, always willing to share what he knew, and could be counted on whenever I needed a hand.
His knowledge, kindness, and willingness to help made a real difference, and I feel fortunate to have known him. Dave will be sorely missed, but the memories and the wisdom he shared will stay with us.
Rest easy, Dave. You will not be forgotten.
Dear Heather, We were so sad to hear about Dave. We have known him for a long time, especially Gary who has known him when he was a teenager. Heather Thanks many fun loving memories with you and Dave,1984 Disneyland 2 days then Daytona, Vagas and Billy Bob, Death Valley climbing up the sand dune, Key West then Daytona, Sturges 50th with Boyd and Pat, my Station Wagon packed so full the guard said she was not going to look at what was in there. There are very few memories from my teens & early 20’s that you & Dave were not a part of Heather. If the walls of Hanlon Road could speak what tales they would tell! Thinking of you.. Cindy Prosser♡
